The focus of Lisa’s teaching is to help students learn to change their behavior through the application of theory. Theory is what advances our understanding beyond trial and error. Applying theory to practice, then, can greatly advance a manager’s or worker’s ability to be effective in situations s/he has not encountered before.
Lisa utilizes a combination of teaching techniques including discussion, experiential exercises, group projects, and case analyses. She believes everyone in the classroom can learn from each other and enjoys a class session the most when she, too, learns something.
